Here is the weekly newsletter! Enjoy!

Post Production Diary - 16 Weeks To Go
Like Photoshopping? Well then this is the PPD for you! PJ introduces us to
the rotoscoping artists working on King Kong. These guys and gals are the
ones who intricately remove all the 'real world' stuff that is in a shot.
They also paint over things that need to disappear to make the movie as
realistic as possible. We get to see some amazing blue and green screen
footage, lots of running and falling shots of Naomi Watts, and a super
close-up of Jack Black's head (no whale for you Jack).

Post Production Diary - 17 Weeks To Go
You didn't think we forgot you did you? With 17 weeks left to go the model
making department is still in full swing recreating skull island at one
twelfth scale. Paul Van Ommen introduces us to his gonzo gang of model
technicians and gives us some insight on what it takes to scale down trees,
plants, dirt, even moss! You'll never look at a garden the same way again!
Take a look!

Keeping 'King Kong' under tight security control
Security experts plan to keep King Kong, one of the year's most anticipated
movies, out of the hands of pirates. Night-vision goggles will be used at
early screenings of the Peter Jackson film to make sure no one is
videotaping it to make illegal copies. All reels of the film will be held in
vaults and transported under escort. The New Zealand distributor, United
International Pictures, said this week that there would be "air-tight"
security over the printing process.

KONG HISTORY: King Kong is back. In 2005, writer/director Peter Jackson, the
man responsible for "The Lord of the Rings" Trilogy, will direct a new,
large-scale remake featuring a monstrous computer generated ape to be
created by Jackson's special effects company, WETA Digital. However, Kong's
origins lay long ago, towards the beginning of the last century in fact.
What follows is a history of the great ape's adventures, on both the large
and small screen. This history's films and TV series are the one's that were
widely released.
