News for Oct. 07, 2006 Tintin could be coming to Wellywood 10/07/06, 10:59 pm EST - Xoanon Wellington could be poised to host another Hollywood blockbuster – a film version of the Tintin books linked to Peter Jackson and Richard Taylor's Weta workshop. It is understood the live-action film is in preliminary planning, with French director Jean-Pierre Jeunet, best known for Amelie, approached to act as director, producer or both. Sources say Oscar-winning Weta Workshop and Weta Digital, jointly owned by Jackson, Taylor and Jamie Selkirk, will be involved. Taylor alone has won five Oscars for his work in Jackson's films, including the The Lord of the Rings trilogy. [More]
