NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. -- Think "King Kong" is nothing but a big ape? Director
Peter Jackson turned to a former Rutgers professor to help make Kong sound more human in his new film. Jackson tapped Dieter Stecklis, a former professor of anthropology, for the job, Millennium Radio reported. The professor spent 10 years working in the field for Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund International. The director used actual field recordings of Rwandan mountain gorillas made by Stecklis. He then enhanced the audiotapes using studio sound effects. [
