UIP uses high-tech 'sandwich boards' to promote King Kong

United International Pictures has been deploying the 21st century equivalent of sandwich boards to promote Peter Jackson's latest blockbuster, King Kong. Trained marketers have been visiting venues in Dublin wearing Adwalker's digital media platform, which comprises of an ergonomic body pack incorporating an LCD screen, wearable computer, handheld touch screen and printer. The company's representatives, known as Adwalkers, screened a trailer for the movie on their bodypacks in advance of its 15 December launch and invited consumers to sign up for UIP updates.
