Andy Serkis goes ape for Italy.
Andy Serkis, 41, is the human form behind the computer-generated
Gollum in the Lord of the Rings trilogy and Kong in
Peter Jackson’s remake of King Kong (where he also gets to play Lumpy the Cook). In addition, he has appeared as the producer Martin Hannett in 24 Hour Party People and Bill Sikes in Alan Bleasdale’s TV adaptation of Oliver Twist. He lives in London with his wife, the actress Lorraine Ashbourne, and their three children. [
