If there's one person who knows how much time and energy Peter Jackson put into his upcoming remake of King Kong, it's producer Michael Pellerin, who has been working with Jackson for years on the behind-the-scenes footage for the Lord of the Rings extended DVDs. For King Kong, his production team spent two years filming and editing everything on set and off, putting up regular segments on the KongisKing.net website, which have now been compiled by Universal into a two-disc limited edition DVD set, King Kong: Peter Jackson's Production Diaries. Besides having better quality versions of the internet diaries, all arranged in a way that allows you to view them in different ways, they've also included some cool extras, like an exclusive 20-minute segment on the making of the film's pivotal T-Rex battle.
