Eric makes a monkey out of Kong show

A retired Kapiti projectionist is not waiting till December for all the glitz, red carpets and excitement when Peter Jackson's King Kong is released. Eric Clarke is to screen the original 1933 King Kong at his specially upgraded 28-seat home movie theatre. Mr Clarke, who received a Queen's Service Medal in 1997 for donating thousands of dollars to charity during the past 20 years from film shows at his Paraparaumu home, installed a DVD video projector this week as a standby before the privately booked showing of the film from his extensive classic movie collection.
