Peter Jackson has been filming the final scenes of King Kong, in which the giant ape battles biplanes atop the Empire State Building. The website kongisking.net shows Jackson shooting scenes in his Miramar studios of a pilot and gunner, in a replica 1930s Curtis Helldiver aircraft. The replica of the American naval fighter – seen in the 1933 film – had to be built from scratch.
