Actress Naomi Watts met Fay Wray, the woman who became famous as the damsel who fascinated the giant gorilla King Kong, just a couple of months before Wray's death Aug. 8 at age 96. And it happened at the invitation of Rick McKay, who grew up in Beech Grove. Watts -- on the telephone recently from New Zealand to promote her film "We Don't Live Here Anymore" -- will try to fill Wray's shoes in director Peter Jackson's ("The Lord of the Rings" trilogy) remake of "King Kong," the classic 1933 black-and-white film. Watts will be seen in several upcoming movies, including "The Ring 2," "I Heart Huckabees" and "Stay." [More]
