Hoax audition drags in the crowds

They lined up in droves at Massey University yesterday, hoping for a place in New Zealand's cinematic history. Lured to Massey's Recreation Centre by the chance of eventually working with multi-Oscar-winning director Peter Jackson on his upcoming production of King Kong, the queue stretched out the door. All the potential actors waiting for the magic call were actually the victim of an elaborate hoax, cooked up by students as a capping stunt. [More]
