'KING KONG'S LAST STAND'

Handmade sculpture in cast resin with a faux-bronze finish, One of a very few sculptured homages to 'Kong' in the world.

This is my own creation in tribute to the greatest movie monster af all time - 'King Kong'. It depicts his last moments as he defiantly straddles the peak of the Empire State Building with his only love and precious 'possession' 'Ann Darrow'.
In sculpting him, I have blended facial and physique features from both the classic original 1933 film version and Peter Jackson's recent film version to create a somewhat stylised iconic image with a little realism.

I have created a heavy bronze look to convey the colossal and weighty menace of the beast and to give it a little 1930's Art-Deco slant in keeping with his time.
