LOTR DVD REGION 2 UPDATE

Just been sent this tidbit from Robert Pearcy! Great news methinks! :) LOTR is coming out in two versions on DVD this November here in the UK, region 2. A regular release and a Special Edition box set, I'm not sure whats in the box set, but from what I'm told they're gonna do a 2001 style set, with a movie cell, and the soundtrack. The regular edition will sell at £19.99, and the special at £24.99.

Lord of the Rings on DVD in September!

Looks like Warner are releasing Bakshi's LOTR finally on DVD on 11th September on Region 1 (expect all the others to follow soon after)
No extras are confirmed at the moment but expect a commentary by Mr.Bakshi himself! :)
Also ther other animated versions of Toliens books are being released (The Hobbit and Return of the King)on the same date. All three DVDS are likely to have aretail price of $19.95. SO get pre-ordering now! :)

hi howzit PJ fans? I have recorded some brand new sound clips for all of you BT fans out there. Some are short, and some are very long, great quality and a very small file size. All clips are in wav format. I have also recorded some Good Taste Meets Bad Taste sound clips, for the people that don't have a copy of docco of their own.

Wow... all i can say is check out the new WETA website. Just spent like an hour looking around, and very impressive it is too! Many nice behind the scene photos of PJ's films (that we'll hopefully put on here soon too)
But there was a very intresting photo which I think we should all have a look at. This is a sculpture was one of a large number of 3D designs that we created for Peter Jackson's abandoned remake of King Kong. Click on the image to see a more detailed view.

Bad Taste DVD update

Hey all (again)
Thought I'd inform you all about the Bad Taste DVD that should be released later on this year by Anchor Bay.
Well it seems that Anchorbay are holding up on the details of this special edition, as nothing but the Goodtaste made Badtaste documentary is the only confirmed extra.
Now I've been informed by a very reliable source at WingNut that Peter Jackson has NOT at this time been asked to participate in an audio commentary. What's even more intresting is how Anchor Bay were discussing with Pete O'herne, Ken Hammon etc. that they should participate in a group commentary, and at this point again Anchor Bay have not contacted them back.
So what does this mean? Well I guess it could be the usual delays with released that Anchor Bay normally have, or maybe it's the NZFC giving them hell (they currently own the rights to the film. Basically they are a bunch of tossers) OR what could happen, which I pray to god hasn't, is that any idea of having a commentary on the disc has been scrapped! :(
Now let's not all get irrate and go mail bomb anchorbay (yet) Let's just sit tight and twiddle with ourselves, hopefully we'll get an announcment soon :)

Yup that's right, we have a new trailer of the highly antiscipated Lord of the Bings. hehe Trust me that isn't a typo! lol
Basically Bastard #43 Kevin Karstens sent in this great parody video of the LOTR trailer, which had me in stiches ;p I won't ruin the surprise... so just go and download it NOW!
