Bad Taste DVD

Almost forgot, The Bad Taste DVD I've been talking about has finally got a proper release. Morningstar Entertainment have announced a Canadian DVD of Bad Taste, to be released on February 8th. Full-frame and movie-only, but it's on the way.

Well look what I came across today. If you feel you can live with that, then here's the stats on the DVD:
It's seems as if there is a better version of Heavenly Creatures on DVD! This one is indeed in 2:35:1! and yup it even has teaser trailers :) It's a region 2 DVD and it's from a french DVD site. But there is one little flaw.
It has permantly got French subtitles on the screen

Hey, I was thinking for a few minutes the other day while I was sitting on the coach to college, and it came to me. I haven't been telling people about when we update the film sections! Well thats gonna change! :) Okay the Heavenly Creatures has had the DVD cover added to it. Also the Frighteners section has had the t-shirt and the Spanish lobby card set added. Go check em' out! :)

More on that Heavenly Creatures DVD

Well I've been informed by a visitor to the site that the Heavenly Creatures DVD that I mentioned a few days back, is indeed out. It is apparently a Canadian only release (well officially that is) and unfortuantly is in 4:3 pan and scan. You may not think much of that, but if you tie in the fact it has no extras whatsoever to speak of, then it's a real piss poor dvd. The LD that was released a couple of years back (it's still available now if you look hard enough) comes in a rich 2:35:1 print. So if you have the equipment this really is still the choice to watch PJ's greatest film :) It's worth bearing in mind that the US version of Heavenly Creatures has a considerable shorter running time than say the NZ version. So again it's still worth waiting for a more complete HC to come out. If you still want to get it then the spec for the dvd is as follows: VIDEO English: Dolby Surround 2.0 French: Dolby Surround 2.0

Well look what I discovered. Heavenly Creatures is on DVD. Okay I'm not sure whether this is 100% official, but it looks pretty genuine.
