Jack Black on Peter Jackson's Weight Loss
How did the normally portly director lose so much weight during the filming of King Kong, while Jack has remained the same? As Mr. Black says, "Fat, skinny: That dude's a genius!"

Adrien Brody 'Enough about the D!'
Sounds like a certain someone is jealous of the lavish attention heaped on his co-star. Then, when a fan gets Adrien's name wrong ... watch out!

Post Production Diary - 21 Weeks To Go

Peter Jackson and his crew are preparing for pick up shooting. Costumes, Make-up, the Art Department, Greens, Props and more are being prepared. Sets are being re-created in small, compact versions of their previous main shooting incarnations. Skull Island sets next to the SS Venture, Anne Darrow's room next to a poop infested animal cage...it's controlled chaos! Behind it all PJ's team prepares with a quick game of '9-Square' (seems like a hopscotch and dodge ball love-child), take a look..and get ready...the cast and crew are heading back to Skull island again! Comic-Con 2005 goes ape for King Kong Cartoon

7/20/05, 11:17 am EST - Xoanon

MrCere writes: SAN DIEGO – Well, well, well, damned if Peter Jackson didn’t pull of a little miracle. See, Comic-Con in San Diego, especially on Saturday, is a big outlet for Hollywood hype. For the price of a quickie plane ticket, a cab ride and 6,000 baseball caps or posters, big movie studios can target a core audience for a genre film like a sniper through a scope. Fans pay $40 to something close to $100 (all week pass) to basically sit through Hollywood’s commercials on the Saturday of the Con. Showing your commercial to people who pay for the privilege of watching it is a pretty special marketing opportunity. [More]

Kong Files IX: King Kong Lives Part 2

7/20/05, 10:30 am EST - Xoanon

John Michlig writes: I’ll assume that the general warm fuzzy feelings surrounding Peter Jackson’s trailer for King Kong has properly inoculated the kongisking.net community to the point that it’s safe to once again to dip into King Kong Lives, the horrid result of the last time a major studio undertook a Kong project. King Kong's Immersive Style

7/19/05, 10:24 am EST - Xoanon

From Matt Casamassina at IGN.com: Go ahead and take a look at the official screenshots of the Ubisoft-developed King Kong, an action-adventure based on the upcoming Peter Jackson-directed movie of the same name. Notice something funny about the images? It's almost difficult to place at first, but if you're like us, your eyes may tell you that the screens represent real-time scenes from the ambitious game, and yet your brain argues against the judgment. It's hard to look at the shots without labeling them -- even if only for a split second -- as concept art. [More]
