(and films based on games follow this trend too, not surprisingly) Well when you enter their little theatre, the guy says that it's "TOP SECRET" and he actually means it too. The sound department is in full swing with 30 weeks to go before the premiere of King Kong. Crews are scouring Wellington to capture genuine sounds of everything under the sun. Crews are on boats, in the air (so to speak) and down in the mud (literally) getting thousands of sounds for the FX coordinators to use when mixing the film together...take a look! Doctorate an honour for Fran Walsh

She has won three
Oscars, a Grammy and countless other honours. Now Wellington scriptwriter Fran Walsh has her second honorary doctorate. Walsh received the doctorate in literature yesterday at the first of Victoria University's five graduation ceremonies this week. Both she and her partner, director
Peter Jackson, received honorary doctorates in literature from Massey University in 2001. Jackson was on hand yesterday to capture Walsh receiving the latest honour, snapping photographs of her from his seat in the audience at the Michael Fowler Centre. [

King Kong Game Spy Report from E3!

"Atomicmutant" on the King Kong presentation at E3. This is literally minutes old, a cell phone report from the show floor. King Kong has a large booth with a video presentation inside. Security is extremely tight, so we were unable to get any video from inside the booth. Pictures of the outside should be coming later today.
