The bi-monthly magazine, Scrye: The Guide to Collectible Card Games has a lot of Lord of the Rings goodies. Included are articles written by Steve Long about the RPG, Chuck Kallenbach II about the TCG, a TCG check list, and more. It's well worth the price of admission.

Open the box, chuck everything onto the table and the first thing that'll grab your attention is the rulebook. It's gorgeous. Every single page is printed in full colour and there are images taken straight from the film on almost every page. Of course, once you've spent enough time gawping at the pretty pictures you'll want to read the rules. [More]

The Voice of John Rhys-Davies...

Soon the new PS2 action RPG game Baldurs gate: Dark alliance will be released. Its the first console version of the Baldurs gate game. At Gamespot, they uncovered in their review of BG:DA(that got a very good 8.8 out of 10!) the voice actors of the game. Here is a paste:

"The voice talents include Michael Bell, perhaps best known as the voice of Raziel in Crystal Dynamics' Soul Reaver games and of Duke from G.I. Joe, and John Rhys-Davies of Indiana Jones and Sliders fame."

The Sunday Times: Michael and Alan Perry...

The Sunday Times has been writing up a storm on all things Lord of the Rings in preparation for FOTR. Among the many articles is one of particular interest to many gaming fans.

Michael and Alan Perry, 40, are two of the top miniature-model makers in the British fantasy gaming industry. For the past 27 years they have worked for the Nottingham-based Games Workshop, makers of the multimillion-selling Warhammer, and recently produced a series of figures for the company's new Lord of the Rings board game.
